Day 1: Transfer to Nyungwe Forest

After breakfast at your Hotel in Kigali, you will be transferred to Nyungwe Forest National Park. En route visit the National Museum in Butare and also the Old King’s Palace in Nyanza. Have lunch in Butare town after the short tour and later proceed with your journey to Nyungwe Forest National Park for dinner and overnight stay at Gisakura Guest House/Nyungwe Forest Lodge

Day 2: Chimpanzee Tracking

Early morning you will have breakfast and then set out for the Chimpanzee tracking activity within Nyungwe Forest. You will begin with the briefing from the ranger guides and then enter the forest to search for the man’s closet friend (Chimps). The time of the activity vary from 2 hours up to a whole day and this depends on the location of the Chimps and were they slept the previous day. On your way to see the chimps, you may also see some other primates like the L’Hoest’s monkey, Owl faced monkey, Grey-cheeked Mangabey, Rwenzori colobus and Silver monkey. Dinner and overnight stay at Gisakura Guest House/Nyungwe Forest Lodge

Day 3: Transfer back to Kigali

After breakfast, you will transfer back to Kigali with lunch en route and hence reaching Kigali in the afternoon.
