Day 1: Depart for Kidepo valley National Park
Early morning leave Kampala and embarl on your journey to Kidepo Valley National Park, one of Uganda’s most spectacular parks. Traveling all day, have an overnight at Gulu Town, Gulu located approximately 200 miles (320 km), by road, north of Kampala.
Day 2 : Gulu to Kidepo National Par
Take breakfast early in the morning and drive to Kidepo valley National park. On arrival, take game drives through the park. The park harbors a great diversity of animal species including the bat-eared fox, striped hyena, aardwolf, caracal, cheetah and hunting dog. Less common ungulates such as the greater and lesser kudu, Chandlers Mountain reedbuck, klipspringer, dikdik and bright gazelle; beisa oryx and roan antelope are also found in this parks. game drive expect to see animals such as elephants, burchell’s zebra, bush pig, warthog, rothschild giraffe, cape buffalo, eland, bush buck, bush duskier, defassa water buck, bohor reed buck, jackson’s hartbeest and oribi, lions, leopard, spotted hyena, black-backed jackals and side-striped jackals etc. In the evening relax at the lodge.
Day 3: Game drives in Kidepi National Park
Early in the morning take an early morning game drive to catch up with the early risers such as lions, lepopards, etc. Explore more of the River Narus Valley. There are high chances of viewing tree climbing lions that always sits on sauces trees along Narus valley or on rock just as you enter the Apoka Park Headquarter. Other wildlife include elephants, leopard, bush duiker, jackal, bush buck, bush pig, kavirondo bush baby, buffalo and much more that are some times seen right from the veranda of Apoka Rest Camp. After the game drive, return to the lodge for late breakfast and lunch. In the afternoon you will visit the local communities around, experience the African culture. Return to the Lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4: Ostriches, Hotsprings
Today we will be accompanied by a park ranger who brings us to the border of Sudan. We will see Ostriches, cross a dry river and end at the hot springs. In the afternoon relax ta the Lodge or enjoy another nature walk.
Day 5: Gulu
Go for another game drive in Kidepo and proceed through the Acholiland to Gulu Town. Go for a local community tour in Gulu, or explore the nightlife of Gulu Town. Dinner and Overnight in Gulu.
Day 6: Kampala
After breakfast, drive back to Kampala. The journey takes approximately 6 hours.
